AdsPals & Instagram
How sponsored posts work on Instagram.
Branded content is allowed on Instagram.
Instagram lets creators publish posts they have been paid for, as long as the commercial relationship is disclosed and the content follows Meta’s rules. Instagram builds the tools for it: the paid partnership label is a setting in the app, put there for exactly this. It is a normal, supported thing to do.
AdsPals is built on that, not around it. Everything here works the way Instagram already expects a paid post to work.
Read Meta’s branded content policiesYou approve it. You post it. AdsPals verifies it.
Your account stays yours, start to finish. We never ask for access to it and we could not post from it if we wanted to.
Creators stay in control
- You approve every advertiser and see the exact post before anything happens.
- AdsPals never publishes from your account.
- AdsPals never asks for access to your Instagram account, and holds no permission over it.
- You publish the sponsored post yourself, from your own account.
Sponsored posts are disclosed
- Every post booked through AdsPals carries #ad. We add it automatically and it cannot be removed.
- You also turn on Instagram’s own paid partnership label when you publish. It is a switch in the post’s advanced settings, and Instagram then marks the post itself.
- These are two separate requirements, and both matter.

Why we don’t post for you
We could have built AdsPals to publish through your account automatically. We deliberately did not.
You are the one responsible for what appears on your profile, so you should be the one who puts it there. It also keeps AdsPals what it should be: a marketplace and a verification layer, not social publishing software with the keys to your account.
The practical version: if you change your mind before publishing, nothing happens. If you decline a booking, nothing happens. Nothing reaches your profile that you did not put there yourself.
We don’t override Instagram’s rules
- Meta’s branded content policies rule some categories out completely, and restrict others. Tobacco and vaping, drugs and drug paraphernalia, weapons and ammunition, and adult products and services are not allowed at all. Alcohol, gambling, dating, financial products, supplements and weight loss carry their own restrictions on top.
- AdsPals will not knowingly book those, and our own advertising rules go further in places.
- Advertising law where the post is seen applies too, and so do Instagram’s Community Guidelines.
- We can refuse or cancel any booking, and we refund the buyer when we do.
The list moves, so read it at the source: Meta’s branded content policies, and ours in the AdsPals advertising rules.
Just so we are clear
AdsPals is an independent marketplace. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or operated by Meta. Instagram’s policies can change at any time, and creators and advertisers stay responsible for making sure what they publish follows Instagram’s current rules and the law where it is seen.
