Advertising rules

AdsPals is not an open ad network. These rules apply to every post booked through the marketplace, on top of X’s own rules and whatever the law requires where the post is seen.

Never allowed

Some of these are ours. Most are X’s: its Paid Partnerships policy excludes whole categories from sponsored posts, and booking one would put the creator’s account at risk, whatever we thought of it.

• Illegal products or services
• Weapons, ammunition and weapon accessories
• Drugs, drug paraphernalia and CBD
• Pharmaceuticals, prescription and over-the-counter medicines
• Health, dietary and nutrition supplements
• Weight loss products, and content about weight loss
• Alcohol
• Tobacco, vaping and shisha
• Adult content and adult services
• Dating and marriage services, and contraceptives
• Political, geopolitical and social-issue content promoted commercially
• Scams, fake earnings claims and guaranteed-return offers
• Malware, phishing, wallet drainers and credential harvesting
• Hate content and harassment
• Counterfeit goods
• Impersonating a person, company or public body

Restricted, reviewed case by case

• Gambling and betting, where it is legal and properly licensed
• Financial products, trading platforms and crypto

Disclosure

Every post published through AdsPals ends with #ad. This cannot be removed, shortened or moved, and no booking can ask a creator to hide the fact that a post is paid for.

Links must go to the destination you described. Shortened links and redirect chains are flagged for review because they hide where a reader actually ends up.

Where these come from

We keep our list in step with X’s Paid Partnerships Policy, and go further in places. X can change its policy at any time, so treat theirs as the authority and ours as the floor. More on how the two fit together on AdsPals & X.

Enforcement

We screen copy automatically before checkout and review flagged bookings by hand. Creators can decline anything, for any reason, and that remains the strongest protection on the marketplace. Bookings that break these rules are cancelled and refunded.
